"Narrissa, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. The apartment was very clean, big and comfortable. We loved the pool, which we had to ourselves. There was also a jacuzzi, which was turned on for us whenever we wanted. There was a bakery about a 5 minute walk away and you could walk to town of Roseau and botanical gardens in 10-15 minutes. There was private, free parking on the property. Very good value for money."

"Personal, friendly and welcoming staff. Our unit was spacious and private but needed screens in our windows. No air conditioning, so the need of fans and windows opened were necessary. Shuttle service to and from the airport need to be listed as an amenity for the property. The road to the property is precarious to say the least, and taxi cabs do not want to go the last 1/4 mile. Obtain the telephone number to the property and they will meet you where the pavement ends. Seclusion and peace...

"My two adult children and I enjoyed a comfortable stay in two private bedrooms of the home of the gentleman that owns and lives in the advertised property. He was a kind host, graciously welcoming us when we arrived far too late in the evening and waking before 5am to see us off for our early morning departure. The bed I shared with my adult daughter was the most comfortable I slept on during our entire trip. My only concern is that Vrbo had advertised this property to us as an "Entire Home"...

"We loved our stay at the Sizo Cottage. The cottage is near the main road in the Roseau Valley, but it is also secluded and feels remote. The kitchen wide open to the rainforest valley is just a peaceful and harmonious way of living. We had everything we needed, cooked dinner every evening, had our breakfast in the morning, and went off exploring. Middleham Falls, Trafalgar Falls, Titou Gorge, Fresh Water Lake, all are nearby and convenient, as is Roseau. 10 our of 10, easy."

He helped with taxi arrangements from the airport to recommending a car rental service. "Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. "This is an absolutely beautiful and special place. Our room/suite was huge inside with a nice sitting area, a gigantic bathroom and very large bedroom. Wraparound balcony. The beach faces east to the Atlantic and mostly no one is there, outrageously gorgeous. Sunrise is spectacular. The restaurant has very nice freshly made food, very thoughtfully prepared, tasty. Less local-style cuisine than we would prefer and not a super wide array of options for vegetarians staying for 5-6 days but still very enjoyable and they are very accommodating. Fantastic included breakfasts. Pool is great, small but few people using it, and very nice, clean, good temperature. The grounds are beautiful, lush green with flowers, and the sounds (birds, frogs etc) are fabulous. The river is very pretty going down to the sea. The gym is cute and we did use it. There is no AC in it and the humidity is intense to work out in but I was glad for the opportunity. This is not the place for people looking to be around populated-type activities like going out to eat, and not easily accessible to the west coast tourist attractions. It’s also not a luxury-type resort with fancy-place vibes. This is for you if you are looking for remote, quiet, reasonably-priced real nature spot that is unique and special and has a local feel to it. Clean and comfortable and incredibly peaceful with stunning natural beauty. "

"An excellent outpost for us to drive the island on 6 individual day trips. Perfect room with a great sleeping mattress and all accoutrements needed plus a tea table on a covered porch. The Caribbean view was an awesome experience morning and evening. The restaurant was our stalwart for nourishment each morning and all but one evening. Chef Calvin and all involved were attentive and offered great food choices; always at least one protein, vegetables and dessert for dinner with breakfast of fruit, cereal, bread, local jellies, multiple meats, eggs and coffee/tea. Beer and drink options were satisfying after exploring and driving Dominica unique geography and roads!"
