This was a very basic hotel; it reminded me of the ‘70’s. The room was clean and the staff were very nice. Probably because it was in an older building there were very few electrical outlets—only 2 in our room (one in the bathroom and one in the entry foyer. And the outlet in the bathroom was not active when the bathroom lights were off.) This made it very challenging to recharge our phones and other devices. The biggest problem for us, and the reason I would be reluctant to stay more than one night, was that wi-fi reception was basically non-existent, even though a range extender was plugged in just outside of our door. When we are traveling overseas we just can’t afford to be out of touch for too long. Breakfast was basic French continental—bread & jam, croissant, juice and coffee/tea.
