"I was volunteering in Lourdes for 5 days and needed a reasonably priced place to stay. The Villa Mariale was the best price. I realised that I had stayed there some years before, when it was called something else. It hasn’t changed much, but at least, this time bath towels were included. Location is walking distance to the entrance and along the way are shops for religious articles and restaurants. "We had a fantastic holiday! Our hosts were attentive, accommodating and engaged us in the local community. After a few hours we felt very much relaxed, welcomed and at home! It was brilliant swimmming everyday in the pool and the numerous sitting areas allowed you shade and/or panoramic sun! "I enjoyed my stay here for the following reasons: Staff members Claudia and Tess made our stay for 3 nites memorable. We had to use an assessable wheel chair that was stored safely every nite. "Great hotel close to the Grotto. Hard to find due to only a small sign near the door. The one way road doesnt allow you to see the writing on the building at night so you might drive past it a few times. Public, paid parking a block away at the river. Good breakfast and lots of stores opened up after 10 am. "
