"A return to the way things used to be is how I describe the wee bach, rustic with history and perfectly formed. The beach access was excellent, and the surrounding area of the bay and Mana was perfect for walks with the dogs, close to water and cafes. The evening spent at the bach with the fire on was a great relaxing touch. We will go back for sure. Jude and Family"

"Great stay, its an historic property and served its purpose bringing my whanau together and we made memories. The hosts are very good to talk to. That driveway was scenic lol. "The cottage was perfect for what we needed for the weekend, we were out alot and thought the house may be quite cold upon returning in the evenings but found the cottage surprisingly warm and cosy. It heated up really quickly the night we arrived too. Owners were great with communication and and really helpful. "

"We wanted a base to combine relaxation and exploring, and this was excellent. A nice big table for board games, plenty of food options just down the road in Petone and Wellington an easy drive. Visiting Te Papa was a wonderful addition to visiting the Weta workshop and seeing WOW - the World of Wearable Art extravaganza - indeed, WOW!"

"Beautiful house and lovely family. When I saw the room however, I asked the host to consider giving me a refund or a partial refund despite their policy. I rented for 3 nights and stayed zero minutes. The problem was, that the room felt too enclosed. The room is downstairs - I don't recall the room having windows... The Expedia/VRBO Listing shows pictures of the kitchen and the patio and the amenities you can use upstairs but when you walk up stairs and you see the family doing homework, you...

"The property is fully fenced and secure. The kitchen is well appointed and very clean. The weather wasn’t great during our stay so we didn’t use the outdoor area much. We did enjoyed a few games of pool and table tennis in the game room, which is a very nice touch to the bach!"
