WATER FERRY SYSTEM:

Please note that this is a water-access only, remote property. The uniqueness of the property offers unique challenges and costs. We are NOT a hotel. Please respect that we have a time restrictive check-in and check-out process to make this project possible to exist.

We provide an approximate 15 minute water ferry service to Cape Carraholly Retreat from the meeting point at Rocky Point in Port Moody, B.C. One water ferry, per cabin for both the check-in and check-out process, is included in the cost of your stay. The water ferry accommodates 8 guests at a time.

Team members on-site will transport guests & their luggage from the dock to the cabins in a Side-by-Side Passenger Vehicle, unless your cabin is right in front of the dock.

***More details will be sent to you in the booking confirmation message automatically when you book a reservation. We are unauthorized to provide specific location details until a reservation has been booked. The booking confirmation message will also contain a FAQ page which may answer most of the questions you may have.

The staff was excellent and helpful. The hot tub was a great feature. It was just outside the cabin and was surrounded by the wilderness and nature. The views and the hiking trails were fun to navigate around. The cabin had a lot of rooms. The kids enjoyed themselves catching crabs by the beach and going on a hikes around the trails to and from the cabin.

An adventure in the wild off the edge of Vancouver
The VRBO listing left out a lot, like parking for our car on the Port Moody side was included. The address given for the parking is for the business, the parking garage is approached from the street behind it with no label or street number. Links didn't work. If you have booked and are having trouble, wait through the phone message that says they will email you back within a couple of days and they will answer. The four of us enjoyed our night on the forested retreat on the far side of the Burrard Inlet at the remote, boat access only, Cape Carraholly Retreat. The pontoon shuttle was plush with a seating capacity of around eight people. The 10 minute ride each way was really enjoyable. Mendes, our driver was sweet and helpful with our bags. When we arrived, the ATV took us with bags, to and from our cabin. All of the staff were really nice. We hung out a the beach shack which had comfortable seating for two people. We did some hiking. They recommended that we carry bear spray, which we didn't have. Crossing into the US as of 6/29/23, agents from both countries told me it was legal to take over their borders. Four inch memory foam was on two of the beds was too thick and squishy. One of the mattresses was particularly soft. The third bed was hard. With windows open, the train whistles all night across the inlet were loud. The kitchen lacked a lot of items. A great get away, especially if you live in Vancouver, according to the other guests.
