"Stunning scenery and views as soon as you enter the estate and a warm welcome from reception. Room looked lovely, although a few more comforts needed. Better pillows, more toiletries, and the courtyard lighting made it hard to sleep as only had blinds (not blackouts) and no curtains. We stayed 2 nights and had no room service on the second day, so no replaced toiletries, coffee or towels (nothing major but their book said daily service). Lovely big bath. Bed was comfy. "Great location. 3 mins from a great beach and near 2 places within walking distance to eat in the evening. A great room with everything you need for a few days away. Staff at the hotel were really accomodating washed and dried our towels and tshirts as we had been on the beach. "Covid friendly stay with all rules followed to ensure safety of guests. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Local beers on sale in the bar are worth a go. Set off the beaten track so you'll need a car to get about but Newport well worth a visit as was lower Fishguard."

"Do not stay here! As another reviewer said, no-one will service the room. Rubbish is allowed to build up over however many days you are staying there and no bathroom clean. I left halfway. The mattress has deep dips where springs stick out. I had to fill them up with pillows in order to sleep. No receptionist. Just some scruffy old boy moaning about being summoned 'too early'. I paid £68 pn and someone else paid £80 pn. for this. Awful place. Avoid."

"We had a wonderful time. Cwmllan feels back in time in the best way. Some reviewers seemed critical of the water pressure from the spring-fed water system but this didn't bother us much at all. It's a place to go slower, not to be rushing around! Lovely neighbours and beautiful surroundings. Wonderful choice of walks and a good old-school DVD collection for cosy rainy nights in. Highly recommended. "
