Can’t be mad at the price. Was one of the cheapest we could find. The inside of our room had a few dings and scratches, still was able to sleep at night. Country Inn & Suites is a really nice hotel that is unfortunately in an area that has suffered economically. Closed and boarded up restaurants, homeless people hanging around the parking lots, broken glass and trash everywhere. Nowhere to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. No foot traffic. None of the usual Portland-neighborhood charm that we've come to expect, and it's a shame because we really liked the hotel. Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast but awful location.

An encampment of homeless people was in the parking lot. Staff had to call security on a man that my eleven year old daughter and I saw free basing next to a side door. All hotel doors are locked, even the front, with a side door lock broken.
