This little cabin is great for a couple or two fishing buddies. 2twin beds w/ full bath.
Comfortable bedding and linens provided.
Hull Mt.View from deck, bbq, area with picnic table and fire pit. Horseshoe pit, hammock and great field for stargazers on grounds.
Co-op kitchen Facilities included steps away. Co-op provides all kitchenwares : oven, toaster+4burners+microwave, shared fridge and freezer

The space
The Woodchoppers Cabin is one of 5 guest cabins on the grounds. The cabin is very, cozy, clean and simple. The Woodchoppers has the best deck view and spacious fire pit on the grounds. This Cabin provides sleeping and full bathroom amenities(sink, shower and toilet). You can enjoy the upgraded camping feeling in the Hull Mountain Cabins. Very simple inside room in and more spacious outside. Linens and Sundries supplied.
The co-op kitchen is a stone's throw from our cabin for all cooking needs. Shared Fridge, Mini-oven, 4 gas burners, oven and all kitchenware. All utensils, cookware, dish and cleaning supplies. Coffee maker and beans with grinder- as well. This is a shared space with table seating 7ppl. Other guests will be using facilities, so we ask that everyone be considerate and clean. Only item that we ask you to bring is Ice for coolers. We do not provide ice for guests on site.
Mountain weather is extreme- although we do not have A/C we do provide fans for each space. Wall propane heater in cooler months. Also, prepare for wildlife- Bears, coyotes, deer, rabbits, elk, bald eagles, snakes and all types of insects. in the summer mosquitoes are out right before sunset!!!
Soda Creek Store down the road sells ice.
++our property provides plenty of room to tow in boats or trailered toys for your stay
++no 2 or 4 wheelers can be driven into ranch without being trailered
This area rest's the end of an hour long dirt road once you get through Potter Valley or Clear Lake Area. Well worth it and 2wheel drive, easily accessible during summer and early fall months. Winter conditions can change which call for good tires and a bit of clearance under vehicle.
You have access to entire ranch area behind the gates. There are a couple hundred homes spaced out with paved and gravel roads. Please be respectful of other cabins, guests and full time residence that are on the property.
Please do not enter any buildings or gardens or walk onto other properties.
Co-op. Plenty of room for coolers to be stored to keep safe from bears.

This is a truly unique area set in the Mendocino National Forest. We are off the grid here and fully operating on Solar Power in the summer and generator when sun is hiding.
Way less crowded then Lake Sonoma and Tahoe but still within 4.5hrs hours of Bay Area. A good excuse to escape social media and traffic for a weekend!
All roads are dirt and slightly paved the last hour in. Drive with caution. Bring your bikes, boat or kayaks for more access to adventure during your stay.++Always stay at about 15mph within the gated Ranch area
Be sure to pack like you are coming on a camping trip!
Bring smore's, bug spray, flashlights, cameras, binoculars, ice for coolers, beach chairs and maps. Pack clothing for all types of weather. Pack all of your food for your stay. Only store is 15 minutes away and it's a bait, ice and beer kind of store. Grocery store and restaurant is an hour and half away.
Remember... there is no cell/internet service!!! You will feel so free without it. We have landline for emergencies and there is payphone at the soda creek store 15minutes away .
The 40 acres of woodsy landscape provides plenty of space to experience a restful getaway. This is also a great addition to other Hull Mt. Cabins if you need additional beds for their group/family.
There is a polo field on the grounds to enjoy a sunny picnic or fetch with your dog. At night enjoy world class star gazing Set amongst the pines on a hillside facing Hull Mountain that stands at 7,000ft. Once you are here-you are only a 15 minute walk away from great summer pond and a 15minute drive to the shore of uncrowded, recreational, Lake Pillsbury!
You can also brave the drive up Hull Mt. for fantastic views.
Attn. For people not familiar with the Lake Pillsbury Ranch Area
The Ranch fire burned 500 acres across the lake from us. Upper Lake Access is prohibited. Do not got thru Upper lake to Elk Mtn. to get here. Only thru Potter Valley.

AWD or 4WD HIGHLY recommended but not mandatory.We are located in the Lake Pillsbury Ranch Community. Miles of country roads and creeks to walk along. Surrounded by 100,000 acres of Mendocino Natl. Forest This is a family owned operation. We are on the grounds most of the time. We live here fulltime and value our guests and our quiet time.
PLEASE ADVISE- Only the guests set in the reservation are permitted on the property and in your cabin. NO GUESTS without prior permission and ID and payment.
Once we get you settled in with a quick tour- please respect that this is our home and have lots of work to do on the property outdoors. We are always here to assist but please have your children and pets under your supervision at all times. Pets must be on leash and cleaned up after- Ranch Rules also have a leash law inside gates during summer months.
Lakes, Creeks and Rivers surround you. Only a 15 minute drive to the Lake Pillsbury Basin from cabin. 45 minute drive to the top of Hull Mountain. A quick walk to the pond and creek within the gates. Winding country roads for great views and wildlife sightings. Access to Polo Field for fetch with your pet or AMAZING Star Gazing at night. No current access to Bloody Rock Trail and Penny Pines due to fires.
Other things to note
**We have been experiencing a lot of County issued -RED FLAG WARNING DAYS in AUGUST - Which means it's highly likely that Fire Pits will be banned in this Late Summer/ Fall season
**Unless the area is under a mandatory or voluntary evacuation due to fires- I cannot honor refunds.
Low Lake Level and Pond Level Mid-August-Feb
**There is no cell phone service/ internet once on dirt road in or on the property. Do not rely on GPS and the actual address to get to cabins It will direct you through possible dead end roads.
Have your directions printed out before hand or save photo on your phone of map and gate code that's easy to refer to. Tires in good condition are a MUST.
Upon arrival their is a gate to enter.
Follow all directions/tips. Once reservation is confirmed; much more tips and specific descriptions will be available to access.

***Check-in Policy- Between 2-9pm. If arriving after 9pm you will not get the personal check in that night.
We will do proper check-in the next morning. You will have light left on and key in door setup-

Pets must be on leash at all times on property and Lake Pillsbury Ranch during summer months. Must clean up after pet.
$10. per day pet fee per pet not to exceed 2 pets per cabin.
Children under 13 must be supervised at all times. Do not leave pets or children unattended anywhere in cabins or on property.
ALWAYS have footwear on feet!! Do not cruise around barefoot.
All OHV's must be trailered into the gated community. You cannot use motorcycles etc. once on the Ranch. Use of those vehicles only permitted outside the Lake Pillsbury Ranch area. The area has world class trails for these activities. We DO have plenty of space to store trailered toys on property. 15mph speed limit on ranch
Quiet time on property is 1030pm-7am. Campfires extinguished by 10:30pm
In case of emergency honk your car horn for prompt response from Innkeepers.
