We stayed for 4 weeks, so the proximity to local cafes and small grocery stores was very helpful. The major shopping area and large grocery store was 15.minutes walk. The hill to the centre of town is steep, but we were prepared for that. Madeira is beautiful and Funchal is a fascinating town to explore. This property was a perfect base for that. "

"Wir sind für 10 Tage auf Madeira gewesen und hatten uns für diese Unterkunft entschieden. Wir haben erst in der Nacht zuvor Informationen zum Check-In bekommen, was mir persönlich etwas zu kurzfristig war. Das Inserat gibt genau die Unterkunft wieder. Es gibt 2 schöne sanierte Bäder und 3 Schlafzimmer. Das große Schlafzimmer ist direkt mit der großen Terrasse verbunden. Neben der Terrasse ist ein kleiner Tümpel mit Fröschen, weswegen wir nicht mit offenem Fenster schlafen konnten. Sonst war es...

"Looking out over old Funchal towards the harbour, the house has panoramic views south over the Atlantic and across Funchal. Hugo, our host, was kind, generous and attentive, leaving us small gifts and treating us to a poncha in nearby Camara de Lobos. Highly recommended for relaxation and location."
