"We lived spending time at this lovely house. The outdoor space was fantastic and we spent most of our time outside in the pool or using the outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. The house was comfortable and had lots of room to alliw everyone their own space. Thank you for a lively stay."

"The backyard and pool area was great. The house is very cute. The interior of the house was not very clean. There were many cobwebs, the floors were dirty, the furniture and bedding was older and stained, a dirty mop and bucket sat by the toilet, etc. Not as many amenities provided as in other VRBO’s we have rented in the area - ie no dish soap, hand soap, pool towels, all beds made regardless of the number of guests etc. We also paid twice as much as the listed rate because of the summer season...

Pool was good and so was the hot tub. Not a bad location, exactly what we were looking for deep in the French countryside. Philippe was very helpful, spoke good English, seen to the pool every few days and was there for any questions at their other property a few hundred metres away without being invasive at all. The garden and field between the house and river are lovely -lots of birds and butterflies. The tables inside and in the garden were great for our party of 5 and would be fine for 6 to 8. "Well done to Marion and her team. They have booked us Taxis, made us Pizzas, provided local information for buses, shops and restaurants, supplied extra towels and a hairdryer. The continental style breakfast is good value in price, and the facility is clean and well managed. Everyone has spoken English, been polite, friendly and professional. This may be called a Hotel Ibis “Budget”, but it has high standards and all the staff work hard. Room 307 is at end of the corridor. It is a good size with separate shower (fabulous) and toilet."

"The house was idealy situated for visiting many places of interest,Bordeaux,Bergerac and many chateau in the area. We were very disapointed with the standard of the property due to several issues.The house is very cold and damp and in some rooms has effected the wooden flooring,leaving a white deposit.Even in the kitchen, which has tiled flooring,surface water could be seen under our dogs bedding.The on-suite shower room wasn't very clean and had black mould around the shower tray and sink,which we had to clean ouselves.Although we had the use of an above ground swimming pool in the garden,it quickly became unusable as the grass,which was mostly weeds,became too long and unpleasant to wade through to get to the pool. Although I expect not everything to be perfect with an older property,I do feel the owners could pay more attention to these basic details.We were there for a month so these these things had considerable impact on our stay.We felt the owners put very little into running there gite and do the bare minimum."
