"First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. It's idlyllic. Hardly a sound apart from birdsong and the occasional gentle charming clang of a cowbell as (presumably) some nearby cows were being led out to pasture I booked this place because its advert focused on tranquility - and it really lived up to that. "Beautiful and relaxing setting. The hosts were lovely and helpful. In addition to advice on local tourism and restaurants were treated with fresh produce from their orchard out back. We always looked forward to returning to the Villa after a day of exploring the local sites. Note that getting to the villa requires a car and a comfort level in driving Sicilian back roads. Make sure you arrive in the day time. "

"The interior of the villa is rustic with a very welcoming wood burning fireplace which was tended by the caretaker morning and night. There were two fully equipped kitchens, one inside and one outside. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for large group of people. The ground is lovely and large and in spite of the location of the property which is out of the beaten track we felt very safe. "Lovely stay in Villa Azzura, we will always remember our mornings in the balcony, drinking our Italian coffee and having the best toast with orange marmelade, offered by our host, Antonio. He made it himself out of the oranges from the garden! Very nice gazebo outside. The place is large, clean, welcoming and it remained in our hearts!"
