"Villa Caribe is a nice hotel in a central location in the town of Livingston. We stayed in a standard room with a balcony overlooking the pool and water. It was clean and well taken care of. The shelves in the room are very convenient for travelers' items. The breakfast was excellent. "This hotel is an experience in itself. Nestled in a mangrove, the hotel is built on stilted walkways. There are turtles and crocodiles (sometimes), but apparently they do not bother people. You can relax at their restaurant or by the pool or choose to participate in activities such as sunrise kayaking to an island with monkeys, a horseback ride, a walk through their farmland, or a day trip to Livingston. "The shower never worked and there was too much sound (music) during the night and early in the morning. The room we choose had a picture with tv but there was none in the room. We also got food poisoning from our dinner. Javier the guy from the reception was nice and the view was great."
