There were some bug issues in the rooms but that’s understandable in that weather climate. There were also some repairs that needed to be made for instance a broken staircase that they simply put a tarp over. Then in the arcade some of the ceiling was falling down so we didn’t even let my nieces go in there. It smelled like mold in there too. You had to make a reservation for the restaurants and often times they would say the restaurant was closed. You also could not take any food from the buffet to your room. That was frustrating because sometimes you wanted to have a bit to eat during the closed hours of the buffet. Lastly, the staff would hound you to do the VIP tour to upgrade your stay. Very annoying. We made the most of it and had fun and there were some staff that were amazing like Genisis at the beach snack bar. We have been to the DR three times and would not return to Emotions.

The property is very clean. The room was very spacious. I guess is because we were in the adult only section. The food were great. but the drink was very weak but that is to be expected in a resort. The entertainment need a huge upgrade. It was quite boring not much going on at night. It is a lot of money that I spend for seven days. And it was not fun at all.

The resort is nice ,but the food was not the greatest. The a la carte restaurant was completely different,Food tasted better there. They need better food for buffet. The beach water was dirty. Towels in room are stained. My mother went a week prior and her experience was better. Not sure if it makes a difference in days of the week. There was a lot of birds inside the buffet outside sitting area. The birds will take food but the worse is when they are pooping you feel like it will fall on your plate. There is so much potential since the hotel is in good shape and cute decor.
