"We've been here before so we already knew that the rooms are worn, that there's no WiFi in the room (and in the public areas where there is - it's poor), that the grounds need more attention, and that the public restrooms near the sports desk are disgusting. The boats are also awful, with uncomfortable plastic benches. We returned anyway because the view is spectacular, the pools are fantastic, and the food at the restaurant is OK and reasonably-priced. Having no other such island resort option...

"If u understand that u r not staying at Hyatt, u’ll not be dissatisfied w ur stay. Also, due to the location, many guests request sightseeing tours, & the front desk staffs r happy to assist w this. However, the food isn’t the best so I highly recommend finding another place to eat. Thk u"

"Staff is polite and helpful. Overall I was fairly happy but the level of noise was somewhat annoying. We had a dog barking till late evening and sometimes in the night waking us up. It was as if there was a window wide open but there wasn’t one. Still it sounded almost if the dog was in our room "

"Astoria Palawan has been my best experience in a resort so far. The service from any staff member ensuees that you are well looked after. The rooms are spacious enough, and very clean. The shower and baththrom is great witg the use of a bathtub for soaking. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of choices and came free with the room. And a rotating schedule for dinner buffet each day is slightly expensive cokpared to the local options just outside, but there is an excellent range of foods and desserts on offer. Laundry service is very expensive so i would advise walking outside the resort only a couple of minutes to the local laundry lady who will do loads of washing for much cheaper including tip. Plenty of activities to do including underground river. Port Barton tour was an excellent experience where we swam with the turtles and enjoyed island hopping. "
