We were placed in a building (which was not explained to us) across the road. It was almost 3/4 of a mile round trip from our room to the pool or buffet. The rooms were old, the bed on rolls moved across the room, the balcony door didn't lock so we had a stick to put in the runner, we were given 2 bath towels a day, no hand towel or facecloth. Very kimited understanding of English.

This property is in need of drastic renovations. The luxury wing is fine, but we were in the regular hotel side and had to be moved 3 times because of our rooms. Each one had mold. One had a leak from the base of the toilet. which flooded the room. They quickly cemented it but didn't clean up after them, and left clumps of cement in the bathroom. I have pictures of mold on the mattresses and other areas including bathrooms. The most positive thing I can say about this property is the staff. Not the front desk staff, they were not so helpful, but the servers in the restaurants and bars plus the housekeepers were lovely. The choice of food was good, the one I highly recommend is the Italian restaurant. We were in great company so we managed to have a good time, but with drilling going on in the room next door, and painters and maintenance crew there constantly, don't expect the Ritz.

We have been staying for over 20 years and the charm of the friendly staff and the great food and location can’t be beat. Special thank you to Ulysses head of food and beverage and Captians. Ceasar, Jose, Armando, Alejandro. Very special Thanks to the waitstaff Miguel, Esther, Alec, Chuy, Snack bar Angie pool staff Fernando, Samuel housekeeper Susanna. There are others staff as well but these go above and beyond helping to make your stay better. Very special thank you to Esther for her help in the buffet every morning.

The resort is older but very clean and you can see they are trying diligently to do some renos like the roof tiles. The staff were great. The entertainment team were very pleasant and wanted to get to know you and would speak to you by name.

This has been my third trip to Cantos. I find the experience very nice. The only problem is the food is not as great as it was on my first trip and the bartenders don’t know how to make a proper Mojito. The staff is very friendly and are willing to help you in anyway, and I will come back in the future because it’s in a great location.

The people in the restaurants are very polite and helpful they truly make the stay at this property. The housekeeping staff keeps the rooms very clean. However the hotel maintenance crew is lacking. The hotel is in need of serious maintenance from broken air conditioners that cannot keep a room cool to toilets that do not seal on the floor and leak water. To jack hammering noises during early morning sleeping hours

The property was clean but old and run down. The food was ok at best. The all Inclusive does not include the specialty dining at might except for one meal. If you wanted the specialty dining anymore then that then you had to pay for it. The specialty dining meal was very good but otherwise it was buffet style and that was not very good. The ocean is pretty. The beach was fine. Was not a lot of space to swim. Has quite a few rocks in the area. It is close to downtown if you want to go downtown.
