"The property itself was clean and for the most part the staff was nice. A couple of the lobby bartenders were rude and not sure why. As far as the experience here. That was a let down. The pool bar was the worst part for me. I love nothing more than swimming up and enjoying cocktails all afternoon with friends and the potential to meet new ones. Let me tell you. This pool bar was so busted! There was no music, the selection of drinks was terrible, kids are allowed anywhere in the pool, there are a ton of birds everywhere with all the trees surrounding the pool, and for the most part the bartenders seemed annoyed that they were there. I’ve been to a ton of resorts and the pool bar is usually the fun party bar, NOT HERE! The buffet is literally the worst. Breakfast was the most tolerable. We made reservations at the taco place one night and a roach crawled across the floor. We opted to eat out almost all meals. The spa…..if you wanna call it that. We scheduled a RELAXING couples massage. It was anything but that. The entire time we were there all we could hear was a saw and boards being cut from construction that was happening at the hotel. There was no hot tub, or steam room, only this room called the vapor steam room which was like Vicks vaporub being blasted into a hot room. I will saw that we did complain about this and they ended up comping our massages which was nice but if you are looking for a spa I would suggest going into town or maybe over to the marina."
