Visit Puno’s main square, which forms the historic religious and social hub of “Peru's folkloric capital"on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Visit Puno’s main Catholic church which, with its two bell towers and ornate stone façade, is the focal point of the central Plaza de Armas.
You can find out about the history of Puno with a stop at Mirador Puma Uta. Stroll along the lakeside or seek out the local tours.
Explore the waterfront in Puno with a trip to Puno Port. Amble around the area's lakeside or seek out the local tours.
You can do some window-shopping at Puno Central Market during your trip to Puno. Stroll along the lakeside or seek out the local tours.

I didn't go out for too long in Puno so unable to comment more.
Nice for 2 day break to visit the islands etc
A good entry to Lake Tititcaca. Some reasonable restaurants
