"The suite was everything we expected and more. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. My only suggestion is to make the hotel sign more visible as you can’t see it at all when driving down the one way street. Also, sending the parking directions and codes beforehand would have been a great help. Otherwise, very comfortable, great location and lovely apartment. "

"I booked a studio room due to work commitments this weekend. Upon arrival I was told to go through all the lock boxes and just see which room was available. Owner confirmed all rooms are the same. The room had, a bed, a dresser and a wardrobe… that’s it. Kitchen was communal, as was the washroom?! Yes we had a key to the washroom but so did everyone else and we had to walk down a shared corridor to get to it. The entrance stunk of weed and cigarette smoke despite a clear “no smoking” clause...

Loved it he decor and right in the heart of the city centre but not in the hustle and bustle, there are some clubs/ night bars down the same street but we didn't hear a thing, lovely little street. "Great hotel and really friendly staff. Our room was really spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfast was decent, good spread although they do seem to run out hot buffet items quickly so better replenishing would be greatly appreciated. The Beatles theme seems to run throughout the hotel and it’s lovely to see! I would say they would benefit from a live band but there is live music on the road just adjacent to the hotel in lots of bars so don’t think this was necessary. Location is perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money "

The Queen at Chester Hotel, BW Premier Collection

"Arrived prior to check in time , we knew room would’ve ready which wasn’t a problem. Able to leave luggage behind reception. Parking was payable when leaving your car, just scan the QR code at the machine. Able to sit in the bar and watch the comings and goings at Chester Rail station which is directly opposite the hotel. The bus stop for local buses & the hop on hop off bus tour of Chester is out of the hotel and to the left, literally a minute walk. Once checked in (our room was 1705) which is on 7th floor of the newer part of the hotel. My only gripe is there is only 1 lift and it was very slow. Great artefacts on display everywhere. Room was decorated very well, large bed and separate bath and shower. Some of the sealing at the bottom of shower could do with some attention, but apart from that there were no problems. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. We ate dinner in the restaurant on the Sunday night which had plenty of choice and was delicious. I would recommend booking dinner though. We were informed we would t need to book as wasn’t very busy, however when we went to eat we were turned away as we hadn’t booked. They did fit us in though eventually. Sunday night we had drinks in the bar. My tipple is a NZ Sauvignon Blanc but only able to purchase a bottle as they didn’t sell it by the glass, disappointingly they had none chilled. Would definitely recommend this hotel. "
