We stayed at the hotel one night before and one night after a trek. The staff were all exceptional. The upstairs room was lovely. The carpet in the downstairs room was very dirty. Other than cleaning the rug, I would recommend better lighting in the bathrooms.

Absolutely beautiful little hotel within walking distance to restaurants and the water. Lovely staff and they even provided complimentary snacks and drinks (including a lolly bar!) and complimentary happy hour for all guests at 5pm each day. It’s little things like that that make it special and memorable. We’d happily stay here again.

Insanely wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! The little touches throughout the space made the experience that much better. The front desk staff, especially Sasha, were so warm and welcoming! We highly recommend this stay and will definitely be back!

Staff was friendly, helpful and lovely. Our room was quite large and included a bathtub which was great to soak in after a few weeks hiking. The decor is unique and vary fun. Away from the busy part of queens town but just a short walk 5 minutes to get to dining and shops.

Centrally located and super-close to town, The Central Private Hotel is a fantastic option for a short stay in Q-town. The staff were absolutely great and the little touches that the place offers - like complimentary Happy Hour and the first-in-best-dressed private sauna make this place a winner. Only gripes would be that the rooms are a little dark and want for more (or any) storage or drawers. Other than that, it's a tough beat in a very competitive market!

This is a pretty hotel and the staff was very nice. You are about 2 blocks uphill from the town center. The room was clean when I checked in. I gave them 4 stars for cleaning because they only partly cleaned in between night 1 and 2. I recommend you do not rent a car unless you know you are driving somewhere out of town. You will not use your car to go to town and most excursions either leave from downtown or pick you up at your hotel. You can park at the hotel for a fee but it is a tight lot and I had to have someone help guide me out so I didn’t scratch the car on the wall.

Staff extremely polite and welcoming. There is a guest lounge which is very convenient if you arrive before you room is ready (mine was ready by 12 - I was very impressed). Rooms large and well equipped. About 5 mins walk from town. Would stay again.

Very comfortable
A very comfortable stay! The rooms provided were very clean and quiet. There is ample carparking along the street however, everyday is a lottery as Queenstown can be quite busy. The only nitpick comment I would have to make is that the room can be a little too dim. The size of the rooms are huge but the amount light can be a bit insufficient. During the day there is just enough natural light which is fine.
