Karri Lakeside


Karri Lakeside is a quaint lakeside cottage, nestled in amongst the towering trees of the old timber milling town of Quinninup. Sitting on a quiet lakefront location away from passing traffic ensures total relaxation, with the large block enhancing the feeling of privacy, serenity and space.

There is direct access to the lakeside walk track from the property, with other bush tracks through the forest nearby. A birdwatcher's paradise with native fauna regularly visiting and a profusion of wildflowers in Spring.

It offers three bedrooms, including a comfortable queen and two singles in each of the other bedrooms. All beds have electric blankets, doonas & pillows. All linen and towels are provided, along with some old favourite board games and DVDs. Ideal for a family or a couple looking to get away from it all.. and by this we mean a tech detox as well!

As much as wifi is available in the area, we have intentionally left the house without it and even mobile phone reception is quite poor around the property to allow for a complete detach from the everyday realities. As much as this might not suit everyone, several have found it incredibly refreshing.

There is a house phone for making calls which guests are invited to use, as well as mobile phone reception (limited to certain providers) up at the local tavern and free WiFi at the community centre. Conveniently located next to the children’s playground.

Settle in front of the cosy wood fire, wake up to the sun rising over the lake from the verandah view and enjoy visits from the local wildlife. Before heading out for a bush walk, enjoying the tranquil lake or exploring the greater areas’ many treasures. Simplicity at its best.

Very nice cabin

The cabin is very well maintained and is cosy with the fireplace and the board games. The location is really nice, the lake and the forest are very tranquil and it’s so refreshing and peaceful

Pros: The location is just beautiful, direct access to lake and walking trails. Cons: Unfortunately, when we arrived the house was not cleaned properly and had an overwhelming smell of smoke. The bed sheets on some of the beds were dirty and the towels still wet & dirty sitting on top of the washing machine. We washed the tea towels & towels which was ok but had to pick the beds that hadn’t been slept in (couldn’t use main bedroom). As I know things happen & could be a logical explanation, I reached out to the owner after our stay but no response. There’s also no internet so be prepared for no phone reception.

A stunning getaway

What a beautiful house in a stunning location! We were so happy with our stay here that the only problem was we weren't able to tear ourselves away from our real life in order to extend our stay for longer. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and the view of the lake from our bedroom, and the fireplace was perfect for toasty evenings. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lakeside getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Karri Lakeside. It was so cosy sitting in front of the fire and we also enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake, watching and listening to the birds. Convenient location to Manjimup, Northcliffe, Windy Harbour and Pemberton. The Quinninup Tavern is less than a 5 minute drive with great food and service for dinner.

Very peaceful

Lovely relaxing and welcoming environment. Saw so many different birds during our stay. The fire is amazing - warm and toasty. Fell asleep on the verandah. The lake view is peaceful. Property is well equipped and easy to find. Meals at the tavern are great.

Short holiday

Spacious house hidden in the bush by the side of Karri Lake. Good swimming spots. Kangaroos and birds are around in the morning. 500 m walk to the village centre, and at the Communinty Bushfire Station can one connect to free Wifi.
