Room was big enough for 3 persons. Cons: rooms allocated on the ground floor just right next to a bar table. People were drinking outside my room till 11:30. Difficult for me to get a sleep. Toilet was small and shabby. No air conditioning but it should be normal in France. It was abit hot if you sleep on the sofa...

"Used as a stop from the port when driving from UK to disneyland paris. We arrived after midnight and was greeted by a lovely receptionist who escorted us the our accommodation. Very helpful and informative Great room, we'll equipped and clean Will definitely use again in future 24 hour check in was a bonus and easy parking right outside "

"We rented the chateau to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with children and grandchildren (13 of us). Everyone was delighted with the beautiful and spacious home, the property and the location. We were able to travel to many wonderful places nearby and a little bit further out in France. "Very strange "kitchen" with a stove put on top of what was a bar and is extremely high. No extraction hood so its mpossible to cook. Bathroom without window or extraction fan. Constant noise right outside the door. The ad says the owner speaks French and English but they don't speak a word of English. We did not see the super well equipped place mentioned in other reviews. We do not recommend this place."

"A quiet setting in a single storey rear annexe. The open-plan living/djning/kitchen area was spacious and well equipped. We appreciated Claudie’s friendly welcome and the provision of juice, coffee, tea and store cupboard items. Heating was available as was plenty of hot water, and the beds were comfortable. Wi-fi was mostly good. We would stay again. Thank you Claudie."

"Very clean and comfortable, nicely furnished house. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, even helping to repair our car!"

"This property is in a convenient location with lots of parking and close to anything you need in cambrai. Could be a good base for touring Vimy Ridge and other WW1 war sites. It’s spacious. We were a family of 4 adults and had lots of room. Many stairs in this house so make sure everyone is physically well. Cambrai is a lovely city that maintains its true French heritage. We will be back."

"I'm vacating my apartment in mons so have been staying at a number of local hotels. Stayed in room 113 for a week. My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B...

"Have stayed in a number of Mons hotels whilst i vacated my apartment in the town. This included 2 stays at the van der valk during October 2024. This time in room 103 for a week, nice big clean room, shower only. Very convenient for getting to my apartment and into the centre of town. Didn't use parking or breakfast. IKEA is 10 mins walk away and do a hot breakfast for a few euros. Also 10 mins walk to cafes etc. Van der Valk is easily best hotel in Mons, happy to recommend "

My only negative is no aircon which would be a nightmare in the summer, they do supply a big noisy fan. Perhaps B&B who are new owners will install aircon? Other than that it was an excellent stay, free coffee downstairs 24/7 and a room with a bath. We didn't bother with breakfast as plenty of shops/cafes in Mons. Very comfortable bed, i slept very well. Would recommend the B&B centre mons (ex lido). There is a launderette just up the street, open 24/7, tokens on sale for machines inside"

"I'm currently preparing to vacate my apartment in Mons after a few years working in Belgium. Stayed Saturday night at the B&B Mons Gare room 207. The young man on reception was incredibly helpful, Joffrey. Our room was very large with a bath. There were a couple of wedding parties in but we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fine with some hot options for us Brits. I never used the hotel when it was run by IBIS but would recommend. We didn't have a car but the car park looked easy to use. Not in the best part of Mons but we know the area well."

"It was perfect as a spot to watch all of the Olympic basketball games! The staff was very nice and accommodating, the breakfast was fantastic, as well as the ladies who worked in the kitchen and made the breakfast. French hospitality at its finest."
