"This is not a hotel but a rental. The apartment itself is great no issues there but the bed is hard rock, they provide 2 tiny terrible pillows and only 2 towels. "We spent a week with 8 friends in Sint Maarten and stayed at Villa Fantome. The property was better than advertised. It really was a beautiful villa and the views were spectacular. The property manager, Daryl, was a pleasure to work with and the owner even connected us with a private chef to come in and cook for us one evening. "It would have been nice to have 1 bottle of water offered per day. Not just your first two days, considering you cannot drink the water from the tap. This should have been accommodated. I had to either buy each day from the restaurant or go to the corner store to purchase water for the rest of my stay. Face clothes would have been nice too"

"We were very impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. The check in went smoothly and our unit was ready for us. The resort is very clean and the staff made sure it stayed that way. It’s ideally located if you don’t want to explore the island and stay put. There are a number of very good restaurants within the immediate walking area or just a short drive away. The beach and pool areas are exceptionally clean with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The only problem we found is that people claim the chairs very early in the morning by attaching their beach towel to the chairs. The security staff does their best to monitor this with a time limit of it being unoccupied and unused. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we hope to visit again."

"The hotel was really beautiful, modern and clean. The staff were really friendly, attentive and super helpful. The only thing to consider is the location - It’s not really close to anything so it takes 20 - 30 minutes to get around to places. But there are plenty of taxis on site so if you want a mix of quiet relaxation and activity, it just might be your best bet. Other than that, it’s an amazing hotel, and we had a great time!"
