"We visited Halstatt over the Christmas holiday and fell in love with this gem of a town. While it is a bit overrun with tourists at this time of year, Halstatt Hideaway is set above the hustle and bustle and always offered a quiet escape. "The cottage was ok, very small and rather outdated, but it did the job for a quick overnight stay during our Bavaria and Austria trip, would not recommend for longer stay. HOWEVER, not only are there additional guest and verbo service fees on top of the nightly charge, which is typical, but there's 70 eur cleaning fee in cash AND 10 eur per person towel and bed linen fee in cash! While it is a bit overrun with tourists at this time of year, Halstatt Hideaway is set above the hustle and bustle and always offered a quiet escape.
