The only problem was No WiFi and the phone signals were also very low. The cottage owner replied to our enquiry promptly and in English. Room was spacious and clean but felt like the 70s, no mini fridge and we weren’t given wifi password. Dinner ends at 9pm with only a buffet on offer, had seen better days by 8:20 we skipped it. Breakfast was adequate, extra charge for parking even though hotel is in the middle of no where, nothing close by. Spa looked okay we didn’t use it and the bar was lively, rooms very quiet and they accept dogs which is a big bonus for us"

Wonderful Host, Wonderful Apartment in Alsfeld

"My partner, sister, cousin and I were staying in Alsfeld for our great Uncle’s 80th birthday celebration. The apartment had plenty of space for us and was very clean and comfortable. Björn was a friendly and helpful host who went above and beyond to help us; he even gave us a ride to the birthday party. The area is quiet, safe, and within walking distance to everything- supermarket, shops, bakeries, and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and there are plenty of windows and a balcony to let in fresh air. There was a washing machine downstairs where we could do laundry. This apartment is on the third floor so you must be physically able to walk up and down stairs. We can’t wait to return to Alsfeld! "
