Staff welcome was excellent, bags taken up to our room. We enjoyed a local Beer in the Bar. Dinner was rather disappointing, salmon in broth was a small portion & expensive.

We loved the central location of the hotel within Tetbury and were able to get to where we wanted to go by walking from the hotel. The hotel room was very small, but we managed admirably. My husband was unwell one day and the hotel staff were wonderful, bringing us lemon and honey tea and iced-water, which helped enormously. It would have been good though to have a vegetarian afternoon tea available without pre-booking. The cakes had gelatine in them (why?!), so we declined to order, as we didn't have the days available to wait before we left.
