We were only in Switzerland for a couple of days as part of a larger trip but the Hotel Bären was ideally located to explore the Interlaken region and for hiking around Kandersteg. The views from our room were stunning and the area was quiet and relaxing. It is preferable to have a car when visiting as the hotel is 15 minutes or so up a relatively twisty road. The staff were friendly, check in/out was straightforward and the breakfast was really good!

Amazing views and great stay

This hotel is amazing. The village is quiet. The views are stunning and the room decoration is fabulous. Also Bogdan is doing a great job in the kitchen. Tip: book a room with a jacuzzi at the deck.

Real gem in a hidden valley.

OUTSTANDING, friendly and professional service. Room keys were waiting for us at arrival, room was great, clean, comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and abundant. The views are unbelievable, all-in-all, great little hotel.

The view from our room is beautiful, but you better have car to go the hotel. Parking is 3CHF/day. Breakfast is okay. The room already renovated. Self check-in, the key already in an envelope with your name. Very easy.
