"I did read mixed reviews on this property - however, if you are properly aware before you book, you will enjoy it. The gasthaus is separate from the pretty building with the restaurant in it. (About 200 yards downhill). You can park at no charge up behind the restaurant but then it is a hike to where your room is. "Stayed here, as I had a meeting in the town and my customer recommended this hotel. My room was enormous, and given my late arrival time (after 9pm), the staff in the kitchen (despite it having closed) made food for me as I was starving. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I didn't check out the gym but if the rooms are anything to go by, this will be one of the best hotel gyms I have been to. Parking was also free, which was a big bonus and plenty of space available."

"Set in an isolated location in the Black Forest, this Guest House was one of the best we had ever stayed in. Yes, you need a car to find it, but its worth it. On arrival, the car park was full by locals who were using the restuarant that had an excellent reputation. Greeted by the owner who showed us to our room. It was very large and had a seating area and bedroom. The only critism I have was that there was no kettle, coffee etc. Would I recommend this Guest House, most definately."
