2024 Cousin Weekend

"A group (8) of 50+ year old cousins spent the weekend at the lovely Barndomnium. It had plenty of space for all of us to relax, visit, cook and sleep. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved having the large garbage can in the kitchen. We didn't have to take the trash out as often because of this. The pantry was an added bonus. We didn't have to have all of our food and snacks on the counter/island. I reached out to the owners a couple of times for minor questions. They were very responsive. We found some firewood for a small fire in the fire pit. We sat outside and enjoyed the stars and the fire. There was only 1 minor issue about cleanliness. The floors could have been mopped better. Misleading

"The advertising picture shows a view straight to the lake when in reality, there is a house on that foundation directly blocking the view. The house was very old and outdated and there were crumbs left on the bed covers in the room with the bunk beds. I had to wash the sheets before my daughter would stay in there. The layout is very strange. There is no primary bedroom with an attached bathroom. There is a bedroom upstairs that looks like it was added on later and it stays very hot in that room no matter what you set the air to. The closets are all very dirty and very small and we had trouble with a lot of the doors all throughout the house. The hot tub was disgusting, therefore unusable. Another drawback was there was only one television in the whole house. It was WAY overpriced and the owner actually told me he gave me a discount because they had recently had a water leak and some of the sheetrock was still missing. Never again."
