"An ideal place to relax with family. Nice and big house. The house has absolutely everything you might need. Very beautiful nature. The lake and many swans impressed. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely come back."

We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo."

"Our family group of six spent six gorgeous days at Brian's Atlantic Lodge in Cleggan this winter. And our stay was perfect. From the host's unobtrusive but warm welcome, to the comfortable yet elegant home itself, including daily fresh eggs(!), our time in Galway County and at our home away from home was absolutely wonderful. Warm, noisy rooms, otherwise great

"This place was mostly great! The spa was lovely, food was good, environment is pretty. The beds were comfortable and the features of the room all worked well. The two issues were the heat -- it was very warm even after I turned off the radiator -- and the noise. The walls are thin, and I could definitely hear the people nextdoor very easily. I sleep with white noise, so it wasn't a huge deal, but nonetheless a bit of a problem."

"Every part of our stay was magical. We arrived late but a beautiful note with the key was left at the front desk!! Had a wonderful time at the pub and Brian greeted us the next morning at breakfast with 'where were you guys we missed you'!! Would recommend everyone to stay here when visiting the area. "

Ireland for Christmas

"I was captivated by the photos and the description of this property when I was looking for a quiet country spot for us to return to the Wild Atlantic Coast for my Christmas-Birthday. It is actually the only one I reviewed…you had me at hello! Though rustic, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The setting is gorgeous and we enjoyed interacting with the sheep, working dogs, and neighbors as we took long strolls down the very narrow lane. The proprietor was friendly and responsive as we had questions along the way. I shared my photos with friends and family and they were envious! I think maybe it could generate future rentals. In any event, I can highly recommend Tearmann Mary to anyone interested in enjoying the beauty of the coast and the rural landscape."

Lovely break

"We stayed in self catering house just few yards from the hotel. The house had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable too. We ate in hotel on first night. Food was excellent. Hotel is very well decorated and clean. Staff were helpful, especially Marian and Kylie. Didn’t use the spa nor the sauna (which you have to pay extra for). The sauna is by the small private beach. Definitely would highly recommend this place."
