The walls were paper thin so you could hear other people's conversations. When we went downstairs for the free breakfast, the woman working there asked us for our room number but no one else in the room, like she thought we were stealing breakfast.
A great hotel: nice, helpful and pleasant staff, comfortable and clean rooms, fantastic food and, the most beautiful location.

Not a great stay
We stayed here for one night and it was our only unpleasant stay while in Ireland for 3 weeks. As a family of 4 I booked a family room. I was very disappointed that we had a full size bed, a twin bed and a cot. I complained and I was told that I was in a family room, I rechecked my reservation and we were booked for two full size beds, luckily my son is only 10 and he was able to sleep on the cot. I found this unacceptable for 150 euros for one night. The fire alarm also went off 3 times in the middle of the night. We stayed in over 10 hotels and B&Bs during our stay in Ireland and I was very disappointed at this hotel. I would not stay here again or recommend.
can't say enough.! great hotel , staff are amazing! Attached restaurant has wonderful food! For never having seen it, I definitely found the right place right near where my ancestors lived and a lovely setting on Tullycross! Everyone was very competent and extra friendly! Just perfect and many great memories.
The hotel is conveniently located in the Connemara region, close to Kylemore Abbey and Connemara National Park. Directions from the hotel site made it easy to find. We booked a family room for four. It comfortably slept 3. The only reason my review is less than 5 stars is because the bed for the fourth person was a fold down couch/futon which was very uncomfortable.
The staff members are very friendly and they were very accommodating to our 2 year old son. The rooms are very spacious, with comfortable beds. We stayed in a room with a king size bed, it also had a single bed in it. There was still plenty of room to fit the cot they'd provided and have extra space to move around. The breakfast is fabulous, and the dinner at their restaurant is excellent! I really don't have a bad thing to say about this place. It's easy to find, and in a great location. If we ever go back to this part of Ireland I would be very happy to stay here again.
Modern but old fashioned hotel in the centre of Tullycross. Stunning views from front bedrooms. My room was large, clean and comfortable. Only minor negative point was noise from adjoining pub but this descended after midight. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Excellent breskfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfasts, good rooms, a really good restaurant and two more adjoining the hotel, surrounded by beautiful countryside and beaches.
