Great place to stay here in Iceland. I was a little worried about the noise as this hotel is beside domestic airport and we saw helicopters landing here. But it gets quiet at night as not a lot of planes. Staff were very friendly and cooperative with all our requests.

Great staff, hotel , and room. Not in the middle of the city, but the walk is not that bad at all. I walked everywhere from the hotel. Convenient to the BSI terminal for tours or the Fly Bus and right across the street from a wonderful park and the Perlan

Walkable to the Perlan! Comfy beds. One thing we didn’t like was that we had our do not disturb sign on the door and a cleaning lady still opened the door.

We arrived early. First reception said she will ask staff to make room ready ASAP. Than she changed her mind offered us early check in for $50 US$. I don’t know what to say but this kind of company policy is sneaky when you charge your customers extra for same service. I hope management will read this review and refund our extra charges. It’s not about $50 it’s about policy of hotel or staff ??? Which is questionable.

We absolutely loved our time here! We weren't sure about the location initially as it's next to a domestic airport and the hotel didn't look like much from the outside. However, don't let the looks deceive you - once inside the hotel is brilliant! The room was fairly spacious, very clean and comfortable. There was no noise from the airport at all during the evening. The staff were fantastic and we enjoyed a superb meal at the on-site restaurant. It's about a 20 minute or so walk into the centre of the city. There's also plenty of parking at the hotel if you hire a car. We had a great time!

We chose this hotel because it was the dropoff location at the end of a tour. I can't comment on breakfast or dinner, but we did have a nice late lunch off the bar menu. Hotel spa looked pleasant, though we didn't visit it. Not as convenient as hotels in the city center for shopping, sightseeing, and dining out, though we appreciated being able to eat there. The room itself was nothing special, but was perfectly adequate.

We booked rooms here after being left in the cold without check-in info at starlight camping pods. Everything was wonderful. Free room upgrades (not sure why). Blackout curtains. Helpful front desk staff. Hot water. Comfortable and affordable, easy distance to other things in Reykjavík including walk-in clinic, groceries. Free parking. 10/10

This is a hotel originally built in the late 1950s – – classic architecture and a beautiful hotel with a wonderful history. But it’s a little .very nice spa and we had a large room very quiet.
