"The cottage is excellent, it was clean and cozy. We loved the kitchen too."

"Our trio booked the warm and cozy cottage, with its own parking, 2 comfy bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious dining room and lounge, speedy Wi-Fi and private deck, from where we viewed the northern lights (don't forget the key!). The accommodation was immaculate. The shower drained slowly, but we were forewarned of the issue. The breakfast buffet was varied and hearty; don't miss the homemade lamb pâté and jams! We found Hólmur Farm to have the most beautiful view while having breakfast in Iceland. The owners were genial. We enjoyed our peaceful stay, near Höfn, and would happily stay again, but for a longer duration, when Jón Ríki is open!"

"We stayed here for two nights so that we could do a glacier and ice cave hike, and a glacier lagoon boat trip at Jokulsarlon. The guesthouse was in an amazing setting close to the mountains. The cabins were clean and very comfortable. The included continental breakfast was excellent. It would have been nice if they'd offered a dinner option too, but the owner was able to recommend the restaurant at the nearby Hotel Smyrlabjorg. We ate there both nights and the food was amazing. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights both nights right from the porch outside our cabin. I would definitely recommend staying here if your are visiting the Jokulsarlon lagoon or doing the ring road."

"A little off the beaten path, but in between Diamond Beach and Hofn. There is no reception area. Therefore, do not expect any amenities that come with that assistance or common space. Rooms are private and spacious. Bathrooms are tights though. The rooms come with a large window that gave us a fantastic view of the Northern Lights all night long. The remoteness of the hotel provides those dark skies. Great spot overall, especially if you know what to expect when you arrive. "
