Firstly, it’s a stunning place for relaxation. The room was spotlessly clean, as were the entire grounds. The food was hot and tasty, and outside of the main dining, the snack bar was great! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. We were however a little frustrated that we went to get towels twice, which we were told were available between 10.00 and 3.00 and there were none each time so we had to buy our own…
The only downside was the evening entertainment. There wasn’t much of an atmosphere and my 18 year old daughter was bored out of her brains. We ended up taking taxis to Faliraki which were pretty expensive (€27 each way). The town of Afantou is a 10 minute walk and it’s nice, but also fairly quiet.
But if you’re just looking to rest in a beautiful place, this is the place to go. Be aware however that the beach is much more rocky than pebbly, the beach is pebbly but as you step into the water it’s big rocks, you definitely need swim shoes!
