The guest rooms are spotless, very clean with a minimal aesthetic. While I personally tend to prefer colour and some personality, the rooms are calming, the large beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are lovely, with a massive shower. Inside the room there's a safe, iron and ironing board, but the one thing we found really odd was that for such a new hotel, none of the plugs included USB outlets, so you'll need to bring a 3 pin plug charging cable for your phone. Location wise, despite being slap bang in the middle of Liverpool One, this is the quietest hotel in Liverpool I've ever stayed in! Many city hotels are essentially party hotels, packed full of rowdy groups, but School Lane Hotel had a lovely laid back and chill vibe and there was no antisocial behaviour. Parking at Q Parks Hanover street was a doddle and the hotel is a few minutes walk – I’d recommend pre booking and you’ll get a small discount on the usual 24 hour parking rate. One thing that did strike me as a little off was the need to pay an additional £50 security deposit on check in, which takes several days to be paid back following check out. This is typical in hotels that have a mini bar but given there's no mini bar and no restaurant, it feels unnecessary to me. In the morning there’s a small area next to reception with some pastries (which were decent quality) and a coffee machine, which was a nice touch. Really enjoyed our stay, for the most part, jelly beans and balloons were a nice touch for our anniversary and birthdays celebrations. But two things slightly took perfection away: -it was lovely and quiet apart from hearing the sky bar bass from the 18th floor (we stayed on 15th) - we had booked drinks at the sky bar and got given a discount for it but at no point were we told that we needed to go down to the ground floor before we are allowed to go up, so we spent 15 mins trying to up 3 floors to the sky bar. So we were late for our reservation.

Great apartment for heading out on Mathew street, right in the centre of Liverpool. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Only slight negative was the security staff with 1 of my friends, literally chatting away with them then 1 of them got quite aggressive. Wouldn’t stop us booking again, great trip👍

Fantastic apartment, a short walk from everything we needed see in Liverpool. Great little kitchen with a dishwasher (not that we needed to use it. Great location with plenty of good restaurants. Great communication from the agents who rectified a slight issue within an hour. Will definitely recommend and will stay here again next time I'm in Liverpool.

Property was exactly what we required, easy walking distance to plenty of places to eat, drink and shoppinhlg. Check in was easy enough and they allowed us to check in a couple of hours early as our room was ready. Although, we had to leave a £50 deposit when checking in. Room itself was plenty big enough, although the desk was positioned in an odd place, which took up some space. The only negatives is there was plenty on noise coming from one of the bars/clubs until around 3am. Also, as an expedia silver member, we were supposed to recieve a complimentary drink per person. We never received this and didn't notice until later.
