"A lovely homely cottage, comfortable and well equipped, with a rather special riverside location offering views and privacy. Our first time to this area so enjoyed some river walks and hearing interesting history of Rowhedge gleaned from the very friendly locals. We only had a short stay but got a lot in , including a trip to Wivenhoe on the riverside opposite. Will definitely rebook next time we are 'out East' ."

They property is a small village with several local short walks and close to a couple of pubs, also within walking distance that serve good food. The cottage is well maintained and beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could ask for. The accommodation is perfect for 2 people."

"The property was clean, but the quality of bedding and kitchen stuff was just too basic. Absolutely shapeless and thin pillows, all same everywhere, so nothing to choose from. Utensils and plates are fresh from Tesco basic range still with stickers. Pans with anti stick bottoms scratched, which may be a health issue. I know it’s a caravan, and not much aspiration to be expected, but it might be just a tad bit better than a factory canteen."

"A very comfortable and attractive small cottage in the centre of the village with lots of attractive shops and restaurants. "

"Amazing what you can fit into a small space! Microwave and toaster are good for basic self catering, though we were glad that we had brought containers to cook in and our normal camping plates and cutlery. Location is very good, quiet and private, but with plenty to explore in the nearby area."

"We had a long weekend stay at Dolly’s caravan it was lovely spacious and modern very well cleaned. Was surprised to see tea, coffee and sugar as well as biscuits provided which way a nice touch as well as shower gel and hand wash. Dolly also accommodated our early arrival which we were grateful for. Lidl was a 1 minute drive so was great when picking up supplies. The beach a 5 minute drive and the pool on complex was free. Would definitely consider staying here again if returning to Felixstowe....

The lane to the property was very over geown and unfortunately my husbands car (which has low clearance) was unable to get down it. But the owner soon dorted an alternative for us. The neighbours ford focus had bo problems so i would say this wont be a problem for most! Access down to views over the estuary and walks from the house was great. No wifi but perfectly good signal for 4g - or a good excuse to go off grid....

"All terrific except that one of us doesn’t sleep well in the double bed - though the mattress is very comfortable the bed frame does jiggle about every time one person moves, affecting the other. "a good stay. Perhaps some of the property could do with a more thorough clean as I ended up cleaning the whole cutlery drawer. Somewhere to hang washing would be beneficial as not every clothing item is suited for the washer dryer. Bathroom nice, but as others have commented, some amenities would be welcomed"

"On arrival wasnt sure what to expect but place was outstanding and clesn bed very comfortable shower amazing like a wet room design with rain head , lifts avaiable , breakfast amazing only grudge was 10 pound overnight parking charge at bnb hotel but was ok with that from the outcome of our experience "
