Hotel Atlantico Business Center is the best choice for budget travelers, considering its central location (reachable by public transportation from the airport), level of service (including a very decent free breakfast), and its professional staff. I fully recommend this hotel for its overall service. If traveling to Rio de Janeiro again, I will certainly select Hotel Atlantico Business Centro.

Bottom line, if you can afford to stay anywhere else, do, if you can't, you'll survive. The property itself is pretty clean and maintained in common areas. Reception were helpful for the most part. Our room was below average, mould in the bathroom all over the ceiling, bugs and a heavily dripping Aircon unit. I reported to reception and ask for maintenance to look at the Aircon and they sent the cleaner to clean up the water instead. Cleaners never had enough fresh towels to give us, so between 2 of us we had 3 towels for a week, would have been nice to have a fresh towel every other day. The pool area is dirty and really run down which is a shame as it's on the roof top with a small terrace, tables and chairs overlooking Sugarloaf mountain so it has great potential. There's no bar at the top even though there is a set up for one, so you have to phone to order drinks/food. The language barrier made this quite difficult on the phone but we took our own bits up to the top with no issues. The area itself is really central. It's very easy to get anywhere you need to go, Copocabana, Botofogo, Ipanema etc, and Uber was great, good value and safe for this. You are close to the Selaron steps and lapa district for bars, with an abundance of restaurants and shops within a walkable distance. Be careful in the area with phones, jewellery etc and don't keep anything in your pockets. For the price in comparison to everywhere else, it made this trip possible for us.

Fue mi peor experiencia, llegué post generar el arriendo 23:30 y el hotel estaba colapsado con gente no me dieron ninguna solución. Hasta las 03:00 am estuve buscando arriendo para mitigar la incompetencia del hotel y la aplicación. La aplicación te pide dinero para reservarla 16 dólares y ni aun así me guardaron la habitación, aún nadie se a pronunciado para cancelarme lo adeudado por el hotel Simplemente se negaron por sobre vender, estaba con un niño pequeño de 6 años.

Durante mi estadía no hicieron la limpieza en mi habitación, no funcionó wifi, los recepcionistas no estan preparados para tanto movimiento de turistas , hice dos rvas con fechas consecutivas y en dos oportunidades a personas diferentes le tuve que explicar la situación porque ellos no encontraban mi reserva. No dan a basto con el trabajo o no saben organizarse llame 21hs a recepción por un problema con la caja fuerte que no paraba de sonar y tuve que baja a las 00hs ya pese a varios llamados nadia lo resolvía, En la página no informan que la piscina. No está habilitada,..en fin una experiencia para no repetir y por supuesto no recomendar

Los colchones de la habitación estaban super sucios. Los cubrecamas tan cortos no ayudaban mucho a disimularlo. De dos ascensores de repente solo funcionaba uno. Había bichos en el baño, y el lavabo estaba algo tapado. Incluso hubo momentos en los que la cerradura de la puerta no funcionaba por un tornillo medio zafado!! Es una opción céntrica y económica pero en estado deplorable.
