Really good hotel, clean, comfotable, near everything. Good breakfast with fruits, cakes, breads and grains. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The building is old, but thats the beauty of the city. Downtown Rio has a lot of homeless people, but if u be carefull (not show ur phone and valuable items) you'll be fine. The hotel is in a convenient location, near the busses, metro stations and vlt, and there are a bunch of good restaurants around it too. Will definitely be returning.

No provision for early arrivals. After traveling 13 hours by plane was asked to wait 6 hours for a room. they wanted $10 per bag to hold them until check-in. The only restroom available was up steep stairs(I am unable to walk up to it.) I paid $70 to get into the room early. The lobby was full of others waiting for check-in. There were no healthy options for the daily breakfast. They made a mistake about my end date causing me to pack and when they discovered I had another day, they offered another room (which I declined.)

I stay sep 6 to 10, 2024 elevators don't work, dirty, bedsheets with hair, refrigerator and tv don't work. Just part of the decoration. Staff member with bad actitud and only speak portuguese. I was ask 11 times if i was checking out. Front desk staff would not let me into my room becase they didn't understand the room number. DON'T STAY HERE ALSO HOMELESS PEOPLE SLEEPING IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL WITH IRINE AND FECAL REMEINS 10 FEET FROM THE BUILDING.

Único ponto negativo foi o sinal fraco de Wi-Fi. No primeiro quarto que fiquei até o sinal da operadora era fraco, pedi pra trocar de quarto e foi tranquilo, no outro era um pouco melhor. No geral, foi uma estadia muito boa.

Tinha feito uma reserva pela internet, pra dois adultos e uma criança, porém o check in era só às 14hs e o ônibus que a gente estava chegou às 6:45hs da manhã. Até aí tudo bem, estava tudo previsto. Mas, tivemos a oportunidade de adiantar o check in pagando uma taxa ( n sei pra que) de R$50,00. Aceitamos pois estávamos muito cansados. Só que ao aceitarmos, o rapaz que estava nos atendendo disse que teríamos que cancelar nossa reserva e fazer outra. Pra gente isso não ia interferir desde que tudo fosse mantido. Só que ele cancelou nossa reserva e não deixou a gente pagar parcelado conforme estava acertado antes (também não sei porque). E o pior eles colocaram a gente em um quarto só pra duas pessoas. Meu filho estava sem travesseiro e sem toalha. Fomos pedir pra ele colocar um colchão e ele não resolveu, pedimos pra ele arrumar pelo menos uma toalha a mais e pasmem, ele não quis arrumar. Minha esposa teve que insistir com ele pra ele dar mais uma toalha. Mais tarde, a sorte que tinha uma mulher de boa vontade na recepção e conseguimos mais um travesseiro, que estava faltando. O pessoal da limpeza e atendimento do café da manhã são nota 10, porém aconteceu essas inconveniências que acho necessário o hotel repensar este sistema de treinamento deles pro pessoal da recepção.
