The hiking between the cities is challenging with beautiful views. It is a good base location to visit Cinque Terra by hiking or by train. They do need to have better information available about the hikes between cities.

Cinque Terre is fantastic.! Be aware of the many steps and steep ramps. Beautiful views. We also liked Vernazzo and Manarolo as much or better!

The train tickets are ridiculously expensive. 20 euros to go two minutes for a train ride. They rape you on train tickets

Just a heads-up for future visitors: be prepared to walk, including quite a few stairs.
