Pool was a perfect temperature and delightful, and separate bedroom wings provide extra privacy. "The apartment was really nice and spacious. I definitely recommend this place. It would be nice to have a drying rack for wet towels, etc. The road to the apartment is dirt, so when it rains the road gets very muddy and can have lots of cars, so is tricky for walking along. "

"While traveling with my family of 5, this house provided an amazing base for us to explore this beautiful country from. The house is large, flawlessly clean and in good order and situated right on the hillside surrounded by forest. The road up to the home is a bit of a journey (but with 4 wheel drive no problem) but it is so worth it when you get to the home. The views are incredible from every window and deck. "The villas are fantastic and staff was so nice and offered great service. The view of birds and other wildlife was nice. One of the staff took us where we needed to go a stayed right with us which was great since the villas are rather remote. They store modern with private pools in each. I will definitely go back."

Found Paradise in Costa Rica!

And finally, I felt I should leave a very positive review. Canavida Villas & Resort is the first booking where the everything exceeded the expectations. Top Location, service, communication, quality of stay, THE VIEW, the staff, the people, the pool, THE GRILL, the nature... I don't know where to start or to end. Basically images are in most hotel presentations showing a refined view of reality, in this case the nice photos of the property did not reflect the reality, IT WAS EVEN BETTER IRL! If you want to have a weekend or a week at one of the best locations in CR, then you just found it. Yes, it is on a hill = there is a challenging climb with your car, but you can get there with a 2 wheel drive. Uvita as location is also very nice, but why bother to go there except for grocery shopping, this resort is a paradise you don't want to leave!"

"Room was comfortable. No view from room. Pretty area with gardens around walkways. Not a lot of outside seating areas. Most rooms are a walk uphill a ways. Not many have close parking. Trails uphill behind resort. 4x4 drive to upper parking was in good shape and looked good enough for 2 wheel when dry. Dining was fine, with good service. Trout was good, though I think it was better for lunch up the road at the next cafe. Bar area has seating and fire. Happy hour 3-5. The resort seems to do a lot of large bus groups. Dining room was full with 4 tables of 10-15 people and just a handful of couples at other tables."
