"We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. We’d recommend Margarita’s for take away pizza and Mike’s Bikes for cycle hire. Walking distance into Deal from the cottage was about 30mins, which along the seafront was no time at all. "Lovely place. I didn’t realise when I booked that the room is not en-suite. Which was fine except only two toilets for 12-14 pods. The pods are nice and very well kept, but very small for mote than 2 people. Family with little kids ok, but we were groups of adults and teenagers so not idea. Over all place is very nice, but probably not worth the cost. "

"Bright and cosy stay in a one bed flat in a small terraced house. Lively high ceilings and view to the sea through the baw windows. It's not a luxury hotel! - but was functional, clean and a great option for a weekend at a festival in neighbouring town Margate. Good prices, excellent communication, on-street parking and short stroll to the beach. "

"Perfect position on the coastal path with stunning ocean views from a pristine, high spec and comfortable apartment, with private access to the beach via a well maintained stairway through the cliff.As good as it gets really, the owners have set a high bar."

"Our second trip to this lovely flat in Margate and this time spectacular weather! The flat was wonderful as always and the location is just perfect for all Margate has to offer - from my morning swims at Walpole pool to the evening sunsets over the main sands. Another great stay."

"Overall good with one caveat and a slight disappointment. The house was very comfortable to live in for a week, very well equipped, lovely lounge, comfortable kitchen, conservatory and outside space for all the family. The one issue for us were the quality of the mattresses. The upstairs main bedroom was way too soft,and the downstairs front bed also too soft. The other issue, not to do with the property was there was a warning on the beach not to go into the water because of poor water...

"Lovely little stop, shame no food was being served of an evening meant we had to drive out and find a decent pub which wasn't that easy. Room was lovely and clean mattress a little lumpy but good pillows. I did ask for a printed invoice as Hotels.com dont provide this with VAT which is a huge problem for business users. "The stay was great, bedding comfortable, breakfast tasty. What was a really nice touch is the person at reception remembering my name.
