"Everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff and manager, Angel, made us feel incredibly welcome. It was our first time in Roatán, and staying at La Placita truly made it special. What makes La Placita unique is its charming shopping center filled with local restaurants — and we had the chance to try them all! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We highly, highly recommend dining at the local spots on-site. Be sure to try the three lobster tails special and the tacos Catrachos — both were unforgettable. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. A big bonus included with our stay was free breakfast, which was such a great way to start each day. La Placita has a wonderful reputation for making sure guests are enjoying their time, and most importantly, we felt safe from the moment we arrived. We’ll definitely be back — next time with friends and family! A special shoutout to Andy — our amazing tour guide throughout the entire trip. He took us all over the island, showing us everything from local hotspots to cultural gems like the chocolate factory. He’s down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and made sure we always felt safe and comfortable. Having him as our guide was a major highlight of the trip and another reason why La Placita stands out. "It’s the best place not only for the location, but the pool, hotel amenities, restaurant, staff, and walking distance to all the best attractions the island has to offer. Minutes of snorkel away from the beautiful, colorful, amazing coral reef. "

"Great place for your HQ in Roatan! Walkable restaurants, shops, a little cafe, etc right along the beach. You can also do any island activity by boat or van as multiple excursion companies are represented along the beach."

"Blue Bahia is a cozy place to stay. Rooms/condos are rustic but rural beach suitable. Management communication is excellent and aims to please. Housekeeping & maintenance do an excellent job. Ii would say this is off the beaten track abd is ideal for people who are adventuresome and prefer to avoid the big all inclusives and the clutter of touristy shops. The on site restaurant had good service, really nice service staff, and good food. Do try the soursop iced tea - it is not on the menu, so ask for it. Within walking distance you can arrabge for horseback rides, dolphin encounters, dive and snorkel trips. The pool is beautiful and refreshing. I stayed 5 nights and would return."
