We enjoyed our stay in this property. It’s on the far side of town from the beach, which means one doesn’t hear the surf, but also no loud parties, etc. It’s 0.3 mile to the beach, about a 5 minute walk.
It’s actually catty-corner from the town’s sewage plant, which really isn’t as bad as one might think. Almost no smells at all, although when outside, you hear a constant hum of pumps, although not loud. The neighborhood is peaceful and seems safe.
Most places we stay in near beaches tend to be musty. This place had vinyl flooring and a dehumidifier, so no problems that way. The place was totally clean and neat.
The bed we used was quite comfortable. There are two bedrooms, then one walks through a hall and through the laundry room to reach the bathroom, which has all-new fixtures. The shower is a walk-in one; I felt a bit guilty showering, as it seems to have a high flow and no way to cut down the flow. My wife would have preferred having a bathtub. There was no anti-slip feature to the shower floor, and no grab bars.
I’m a pretty good techie, but we could never figure out how to get the TV to work for DVD or streaming, but if one wants to watch TV, that works. Fortunately, the WiFi is adequate that we could stream on an iPad, and of course read.
We are short people, and many shelves, as well as mirrors, were too high for us. No stepstools.
