Boasting 180-degree views of Rockland Harbor and beyond, along with private beach access just steps away, Lighthouse Lookout will not disappoint! Wake to the sound of the ocean and seagulls in morning flight, and sit back and relax with your morning coffee on the private deck. Watch the ferry commute out to the islands and fishing boats come in with their catch. On chillier mornings, huge picturesque windows overlooking the bay will bring the ocean to you while you plan your day.
Nestled on a quiet side street, Lighthouse Lookout is within walking distance or just a minute’s drive from a large grocery store and other shopping for any forgotten essential needs. Main Street in downtown Rockland is just a few minutes down Route 1 and loaded with fun shops, galleries, and eateries boasting many farm-to-table and catch-of-the-day menus. On a rainy day, the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art are great places to take in Maine art at its best!
Maine’s beautiful summer weather makes us all feel adventurous. Right down the road is access to the renowned Rockland Breakwater, a favorite walking destination of our Midcoast community. The breakwater is a wonderful place to feel the ocean breeze, fish for mackerel, or watch a historic schooner sailing past in full sail and lobstermen hauling in their traps just yards away.
Within a ten-minute drive up or down the coast, you’ll find more scenic and charismatic harbor villages just waiting to be explored. Experience all Midcoast Maine has to offer by staying right in the heart of it all! Lighthouse Lookout awaits you with the perfect, relaxing home away from home. Unplug and unwind and let the ocean breeze rejuvenate you during your Maine stay!
