This was close to the airport and the beach which was great! There was a common kitchen area available for use. We were disappointed with the stark, plain room and the bathroom was not the cleanest! We would probably not stay here again.

It was a cozy little bed and breakfast with a nice clean and modern comfortable room. We only needed one night close to the airport and this was a perfect spot. We could walk just a few minutes to a main road with lots of places to eat and have a drink. Also, there is a Conad grocery store only a 10 minute walk away. The staff member Alexandro was so great and made us feel so welcome.

We stayed altogether 2 nights before our cruise and one night after our cruise. We liked the location close to many restaurants and just walked across the canal bridge, you will find many good restaurants for dinners at reasonable prices. Close to airport but it was hard to find the shuttle at airport and take taxi costs about €35. All staff at La Lira provided us with good service.

Their employee went above and beyond when we called at 7:30am from the airport saying my husband had lost his passport she searched the room and didn’t find it. We were frantically t searching our bags at the airport and thinking we were going to have to go to embassy and beg for an emergency passport. She called us back to see if we had found it went back up to our room to look again I asked her to check bed we hadn’t used and by a miracle she found it she was waiting outside with it in her hand when my husband came roaring up in a cab. Then she called me to let me know my husband had just left with it in his hand. This would of never happened if we had stayed at a large hotel.We are going to try and get her name and send her something.

The property was close to the airport and was very walkable to some nice restaurants. The staff was great and at check-in made sure we had a ride to the airport. The continental breakfast was a bonus. I would definitely stay in this unique spot again.

Alessandro was super helpful giving me suggestions and directions for dinning and getting to Rome by bus. When you first get to the hotel is not what you expect, as it looks like some random private house but once inside the rooms are clean and modern, don’t jump to conclusions until you are inside .

The hostess at La Lira was one of the sweetest people we encountered on our visit to Italy. All we needed was a place to rest and shower in between our time in Tuscany and our flight out of FCO. La Lira was perfect! We also saved money on a taxi by taking advantage of their airport shuttle!

Our room was modern, clean, and larger than many. Everything operated appropriately. We appreciated the motorized room-darkening shades. Staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel is not right in a business district but is only about 2 blocks away from many restaurants and the interesting boats and canal. We were a little concerned about the safety of the area after dark but had no problems. Some nearby places had lots of garbage sitting out, which did not look appealing. The staff is not on location overnight, but we were given directions about turning in keys and letting ourselves out of the locked gate as we had an early flight. We left too early for breakfast, so no comment on that except that the breakfast area looked very pleasant! Taxis to and from the airport were 25 euros plus tax, using the white local taxis. The taxi ride was about 10 minutes from the airport.
