Lake Helen Waterfront Retreat: Cedar Cove Cottage

Welcome to Cedar Cove Cottage hosted by Simple Life Rentals! This charming and private lake house situated directly on the serene shores of Lake Helen, equipped with all the amenities for outdoor enjoyment. Features a soft sandy, shallow beach with crystal clear water. A fire pit is perfect for evenings. The large, flat backyard offers easy access to the lake. Enjoy boating and water sports during the day, with quiet 'no wake' times in the early morning and late afternoon ideal for fishing and relaxation. Very close to the snowmobile trails for winter fun! Nearby, you'll find supper clubs, a café, and taverns!

Lake Helen is a hidden gem in Central Wisconsin. Only 30 minutes to UW-Stevens Point, Waupaca, and Amherst, and 15 minutes to Iola. Use the properties canoe or kayaks to explore the lake or go fishing on your relaxing vacation. Wade into the 2-foot water and cool off with the kids! Bring your boat and leave it at the dock. The water around the dock is shallow (about 2 feet) so a pontoon will work best. You will have the entire house, yard, and dock to yourself! You can also drive or walk the 1 mile to Lake Helen County Park that offers a boat landing, beach and a playground.

We love our family dogs and welcome yours too! Your well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. This property allows up to 1 dog up to 40 pounds. There is a fee of $50 per dog/ per night, collected separately and approximately one week before your check-in date. Dogs must be always leashed.

*This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.
*This property is equipped with decibel and smoking (all types of smoking are prohibited) monitoring sensors located inside and outside of the home. Please do not remove or tamper with these devices.

Important property notes:
• This property does not have great cell reception. Wi-fi is available for calls as your provider allows. Reception is best near lake or at nearby county park entrance.
• No central air however both bedrooms have window units and ceiling fans
• Wood stove not for guest use
• No Cable and satellite TV is available, there is a Smart TV connected to WIFI.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, blender and a toaster
A traditional drip coffee maker and coffee bean grinder are provided
Dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets, kitchen towels, hot pads, a crockpot, tea kettle, air fry grill utensils and wine glasses are also at the property

Bathroom #1 (main level): Full bathroom with bathtub/shower combo and hair dryer
Bathroom #2 (Main level): Full bathroom with walk-in shower

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:
-Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)
-A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
-PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

The Annual July Iola Car and Swap Meet is only 20 minutes away.
