The Cottage and Noir Abode ( sleeps 15 people combined)
This property consists of two dwellings approx 80m apart with a central pool. There is a lovingly restored Mine Managers "Cottage" with all the modern conveniences., that sleeps 8. In addition, there is a new bespoke architecturally designed 3bdr room home with polished concrete floor with underfloor heating, that sleeps 7. -Called "Noir Abode-finished construction Feb 2024"
The homes are set on 50 acres, and your group would be the only guests. It is a perfect escape for family and friends, wedding and reunions. It’s also pet friendly.
It has a private 6-hole range golf course, challenging for all types of golfers, as well as dams with yabbies and perch.
There are BMX style jumps and tyre swings for the kids, along with 30 acres of groomed grass to safely wear the kids and pets out.
The pool and entertainment area are perfect for a sunset drink and swim, whilst taking in the beautiful views of the Broken Back Range.
We are in the heart of the concerts and award-winning restaurants in the Hunter Valley. Set just 2 km away from the Vintage Golf Course, the Bimbadgen Winery on MacDonald’s Road and a mere 6-minute drive to Hope Estate.

Concerts
The majority of concerts are held at Bimbadgen Estate (20 min walk away, 4-5 min drive), Hope Estate or Roche Estate which are both a 10 min drive away.
If you speak directly with Rover Coaches, they will do a pick up and drop off door to door. Unfortunately, they only run on the major concerts. Ensure you call them in advance to book your seat before they sell out. The coast of the coach fares is approx. $20 per person last time I checked.
Weddings, Engagements & Events at Sascha’s Retreat
Saschas Retreat is an ideal venue to hold relatively small and affordable weddings.
The guidelines are:
1 Naturally only 15 people can stay overnight across both properties (we are not a campsite for caravans, trailers or individual tents, as this requires additional council approval).
2. We have several wedding packages, for consideration, as we cater for small boutique weddings. Packages are available upon request. If you wish to hold a post-wedding BBQ the following day, there are no additional costs.
3. Our event organiser and stylist can remove a lot of the stress when planning an event. They are included in our packages and cater to a wide variety of events (weddings, cocktail parties, birthdays etc).
4. Marquees have been set up historically and we can introduce you to a local supplier, if you so desire.
7. Naturally, we don’t have kitchenware, glasses or cutlery to support additional guests. These will need to be organised by yourself, or hired (we can recommend a few event hire companies).
8 The external aspects of the property are covered by video surveillance.
9. There is an agreed time to when celebrations and music will finish (non-staying guests will vacate the property)
