"Very gracious host. The scenery around the villa is beautiful with well landscaped grounds. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves relaxing at the pool. Do schedule the pizza party while you are there. The pizzas are made in the pizza oven at the villa and was delicious!"

The experience was a little shocking getting there for someone used to North American roads and driving but it’s a fun adventure too. If you have a car there’s a car park nearby that’s very reasonable. The flat is cute and clean and Elvira is very attentive. "The apartment is in an urban area close to the ruins of Pompeii. Our host was very responsive and came to help us immediately when there was confusion about room access. There are balconies that give interesting views of the city and large rooms, three beds. There’s a parking ramp nearby and the attendant was very kind. He met us extra early so we could make our train by 7am! We had a very nice time."

"Giovanni was a superb host. He was so helpful for how to get to the place and how to sort out tickets for Vesuvius. The house was really lovely and spacious and well equipped. Giovanni also helped us out with finding local restaurants and shops. We went in October and the weather was lovely. "We stayed here with the sole purpose of visiting the ruins at Pompei and Herculaneum and also managed to fit in Mt. Versuveus. The apartment was perfect for these trips; extremely close to the train station which has regular trains to these stops. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a lovely outside area for relaxing in the evening. Without AC, we were worried about temperature at night but there was a fan and the windows have netting so we were able to maintaing a good temperature....

"Dino was a fantastic and welcoming host, happy to share his excellent knowledge about the local area. Our family room was perfect for 2 adults and 2 teens. The B&B is perfectly located in the heart of Pompei, directly opposite the entrance gates to the ancient ruins. A great base for explorations and many dining options very nearby. "

"We had a great stay at Hotel Herculaneum overall! The hotel and its facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It even had a lovely balcony overlooking the street! It was tidied up daily and washcloths and bathmats were replaced daily (there is no Do Not Disturb sign - which we didn’t mind). There was a slight drainage issue in our shower on our first night (which caused a little flooding) but the issue seemed to have been fixed by the time we returned the following evening. The front desk staff were amazing; they were friendly, helpful, and happily answered our questions. The surrounding area was safe, considering that the hotel is steps away from Herculaneum (safe for tourists). The hotel’s best feature is its location - aside from being right across Herculaneum, it is only a 10 min walk from the train station (Ercolano Scavi) which is where you can take the Circumvesuviana line to go to Pompei, Sorrento (Almafi coast), and Naples; therefore, it is central to all of these places! "
