"We rented this home as a weekend get away from the chaos of working two jobs and finally having a weekend off. The home is beautiful and holds lots of charm. However we had one major complaint and one minor disappointment. The height of the tubs in both bathrooms makes it VERY difficult to navigate. Our daughter has a disability and getting in and out of this tub to shower was not something she could do. If you find it difficult to get in and out of a standard size tub I wouldn’t recommend this...

"The house is very cute and spacious as well as tidy. That said, every single towel and sheet in the house smelled intensely of mildew which also made the rooms smell. We had to soend a couple hours re-washing everything and airing out the house. "

"This home was extremely dirty, years worth of cobwebs, garbage under furniture, dog hair and food on furniture,20 piles of dog poop in the yard which was nothing but weeds.Neighbors were parting with huge barking dogs.Lamps had dead lightbulbs.No light at back porch near hot tub.Carpet really dirty!"

"We rent 3-6 times a year . This rental lacked a few things that make it a better choice than staying at hotels . The overall property needs to be updated . The kitchen lacked a few essentials , a baking dish and tin foil. The seating in the house was old and stained . Overall it can be improved to be a nice place to rent ."

"Nicely remodeled small house. Lots of added little touches like solar lights around the property. The decor is perfect and the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. We tied our boat up to the nice dock and fished every day then got to relax in this beautiful house and watch the river. There are river otters who play in the evening around the dock. I would buy this house if they were selling!"

"Great place on the Newhalem River for two couples! Loved the modern design with a large main space looking over the river and large deck. Nice contemporary kitchen and bathroom too. Location convenient to walk to town, or short drive to nearby Manzanita and the epic Short Sands Beach at Oswald State Park. Some occasional traffic sound being on main road, but didn't bother us City residents."
