"The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."

There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. Two bicycles are provided for use so I would hop on after dinner and explore the beautiful countryside. The property is spacious for two adults and very clean and comfortable. "I was a little worried when we pulled up to park at the front door as the weeds made it look a little messy. However, the inside was quite nice. Some other minor complaints could be the bad TV location in the living room, a slow drain that required cleaning in one of the showers (and slippery shower floors), and no clothes dryer. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay very much!"

"Really liked many aspects of this hotel. I was there in the winter for a visit to one of the many yards that calls Makkum home. Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great. Bed and bedding, not so much, the team would need to switch things up for me to sleep well with both feeling dated and bedding not fitting well to the bed. "

Very nice

"Very nice hotel with a surprising good restaurant. The only confusing part was that they dont really have a check in desk. Its mostly a restaurant but very friendly and nice accommodations but you have to ask one of the waiters how to check in and they will direct you to a small desk in a corner and someone will help you."
