"There were pluses and minuses to our stay. We wanted quiet…check. We wanted views…check. The grounds have a convenience store, and a cafe ( closed Wednesday and Thursday) nice feature. Close enough to Chama, check! However, the communication with the owner was hit and miss and that’s being generous. "I thought the house might be noisy being so close to town, but it wasn't! We all slept well in comfy beds, and the blackout shades kept rooms as dark as we wanted in the mornings. We liked the ample towels, plenty of dinnerware, nice pots and pans, and interesting artwork. We could walk to a nice coffee shop in the morning. Bear droppings in the yard got us excited, but we never did see one. Very interesting art work."
